New Patient Scheduling Update

At Children's National Hospital, we understand that many families need neurodevelopmental pediatric appointments in our area. Across the country, there is a shortage of developmental pediatric specialists, while the number of children needing evaluations continues to grow.
To improve our scheduling process, we will take a short break from scheduling new patients’ appointments from March 1, 2025, to June 9, 2025. This will allow our team to review current referrals, make sure that we have all the important information collected, and create a new system to help your child get the care they need more quickly.
We know waiting can be frustrating, and we appreciate your patience as we work to improve the experience for our patients and families.
