Biography
V.J. Hyde, MMT, MT-BC, is a board-certified music therapist who manages the Creative and Therapeutic Arts Services department at Children’s National. Hyde earned his bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Loyola University New Orleans and his master’s degree in music therapy from Temple University. He moved to Washington, D.C., in 2005 and has been providing services to individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds in hospitals, schools and in private practice. A green belt in Lean Six Sigma, he and holds a license in music and special education. Additionally, Hyde is a performer and event coordinator who curates accessible shows highlighting the incredible music of the DMV.

Jenna Cataldi, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, is a board-certified art therapist and licensed professional counselor with a master's degree in art therapy from George Washington University. She has experience working with children, teens and adults in a variety of settings including high-acuity levels of care, schools, communities and private practice. She values art making as a way to process life experiences that are difficult to verbalize and takes a person-centered approach to her work. She is committed to providing trauma-responsive care that is sensitive to the cultural, identity-specific and socioeconomic barriers that can affect treatment, and enjoys witnessing the power of creative expression throughout the hospital.

Sharelle Langaigne, MPS, LCPAT, ATR-BC, graduated from the Pratt Institute with a master of professional studies in art therapy and creativity development, with a research concentration in eating disorders in adolescents. She has had experience providing care for a variety of populations, having spent time working in a forensic hospital, domestic violence shelter, community center safe spaces and finally private practice. She works from a strengths-based approach utilizing an internal family systems framework. Langaigne is passionate about honoring every individual’s unique qualities and making art therapy accessible to all regardless of history or presentation.

- Christina Mount, MA.ATC, ATR-BC, LPC, is a board-certified registered art therapist and licensed professional counselor, who earned her master's in art therapy and counseling from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT. She has had the opportunity to work with children to mature adults in clinical, medical and educational settings providing individual, family and group art therapy. Her style is eclectic, and her approach is primarily person-centered strength based. She uses a variety of materials and methods to engage with patients, enhance their treatment plans and advocate for their equality and success.

Biography
Anthony Borzi MA, MT-BC, is the clinical coordinator of the Music Therapy Program at Children’s National. He has extensive experience in pediatrics, working previously in the NICU, a specialized unit for tracheostomy and vent-dependent patients, and inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry. Anthony’s clinical expertise is in infant neurodevelopment, child and adolescent mental health, family systems and their intersections in pediatric healthcare. His advanced trainings include NICU-MT; First Sounds: Rhythm, Breath, Lullaby; and Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program (NIDCAP).
Borzi has held positions on professional committees at the state, regional and national levels, and previously acted as a national roster internship director. He frequently presents his work at the state and regional levels, as well as at national and international conferences.

Biography
Shelly R. Z. Broder, PhD, MT-BC, NICU-MT, is a board-certified music therapist at Children’s National Hospital. Prior to coming to Children’s National, Broder worked at Pacific University (as an assistant professor of Music Therapy), the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics (inpatient child psychiatry and NICU), Iowa City VA Medical Center (palliative care), Cedar Hills Hospital (acute psychiatric hospital), Melodic Connections (school-based services for children with disabilities, emotional-behavioral disorders and trauma histories) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (internship). She has her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music therapy and her PhD in education and leadership. She presents and publishes regularly in regional, national and international contexts.

Emily Bruestle, MM, MT-BC, NICU-MT, is a board-certified music therapist in the Music Therapy Program within the Child Life and Integrative Care Services department at Children’s National Hospital which serves all inpatient units except Hematology/Oncology and Psychiatry.
Bruestle's clinical specialties include working with children with special needs, applying neuroprotective practices in intensive care environments and supporting premature infants. Before joining Children's National, she worked as a music therapist at a community music school, where she served as internship director and provided music therapy services to children, adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities across school and community settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in violin performance and a master’s degree in music therapy. Bruestle has served on the Maryland Association for Music Therapy executive board and as an alternate delegate to the Mid-Atlantic Region Assembly of Delegates for the American Music Therapy Association.

Rolanda Carter, LPMT, MT-BC, NMT, is a dedicated music therapist, educator and performer with years of experience working with diverse populations in therapeutic, educational and recreational settings. She is passionate about providing individualized interventions for groups and individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, emotional disabilities and trauma. Cater has led music programs, collaborated with families and educators and developed initiatives that foster emotional, social and cognitive growth. Carter is also certified in Neurologic Music Therapy. She holds a Bachelor of Music in music therapy from Howard University and is excited to be at Children’s National.

Cassie Ferrer, MT-BC, NICU-MT, is a board-certified music therapist in the Music Therapy Program within the Child Life and Integrative Care Services department at Children’s National Hospital, which serves all inpatient units except Hematology/Oncology and Psychiatry. She graduated from Florida State University with her bachelor’s degree in music therapy and additional training in counseling and developmental disabilities. She completed her internship at Orlando Health hospitals, including Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. In addition, Ferrer completed medical music therapy and NICU-Music Therapy trainings with the National Institute for Infant and Child Medical Music Therapy. Prior to beginning with Children’s National, Ferrer founded and led a hospice music therapy program servicing Northern Virginia. She is trained in NICU Music Therapy and specializes in premature infants, trauma, children with special needs and end-of-life care.

Biography
Dana KJ Morgan, MM, is the performance coordinator for Creative and Therapeutic Arts Services at Children’s National, where she curates arts experiences designed to ease and enrich the hospital journey for patients, families and staff. She holds a Master of Music in piano performance. Drawing on her background as a classical pianist, she books, resources and collaborates with artists across disciplines to create meaningful moments of connection and healing. Her work includes partnerships with Cirque du Soleil, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Washington Ballet and a wide range of local cultural institutions and community organizations.
