The Heart and Kidney Unit is where we treat children with heart conditions that are not considered critical. It is also the step-down unit for patients who have previously been in the cardiac ICU and still need some care in preparation for going home. Staff in this high-volume unit are specially-trained and experienced in treating all types of congenital heart disease.
