Where We Live

The greater Washington, D.C., area offers a variety of housing options. Most residents choose to live in the District, with the most popular neighborhoods including Columbia Heights, Brookland, Shaw, Adams Morgan, Mount Pleasant, Dupont Circle and NoMa. Depending on where you live in the city, commuting to the hospital is possible via Metro, public transit and the free hospital shuttle system. Many residents living in D.C. do not have cars.

Other residents choose to live in the Maryland or Virginia suburbs. Popular areas include Silver Spring, MD and Arlington, VA. These locations offer a 30-minute commute to work and typically require that residents have a car for transportation.
